Any implementation of software we support is
approached in a phased manner.
Project Analysis:
This is key to the success of the
implementation. Baillies’ consultants will perform a thorough
analysis of your requirements. This will require site visits
and meetings with senior management as well as discussions
with system users. During this phase the key requirements of
the business are identified and feasibility studies examine
how these needs can be met. Training requirements will also be
identified and time scales set for the various implementation
phases. A project plan is then produced and agreed stating the
various stages of the implementation process and the
commitment required by both Baillies and the client to achieve
them on time and within budget.
System Design:
The system can now be designed to fit the
organisation’s requirements agreed in the analysis stage. In
most cases this will require some development of a prototype
solution to tailor the software to the clients business. This
involves input from the client at all key stages to ensure
that their needs are being met. Once the configuration is
complete it is thoroughly tested and demonstrated to the
client.
Implementation:
The new system can then be installed on the
client’s server. A test company will be installed that will
allow users the opportunity to begin working with the new
system without interfering with the ‘Live’ company. Usually
companies require data from their existing software to be
transferred. We can advise on what information needs to be
transferred and the most cost-effective way to achieve this.
Once everyone is agreed that the system is working as it
should and has been tested by trained users then it can go
live. This is usually a very smooth process but our
consultants will be there every step of the way, to provide
help if required.
